Before I ever became a divorce mediator, I was a parent and a client navigating the same legal and emotional terrain many of my clients face today.
For more than 15 years, I lived the realities of co-parenting, custody decisions, support issues, and the ongoing challenges that come with family restructuring. Family law wasn’t just something I later studied—it was something I experienced firsthand, in real time, while raising a child and trying to protect stability, communication, and peace.
During that period, I often felt overwhelmed and disconnected from legal professionals who understood the law but not always its emotional weight. I learned—sometimes through difficult moments—how powerful it is to be truly heard. Out of necessity, I educated myself on the legal process, prepared and filed court documents, and learned to advocate clearly and effectively while minimizing conflict.
Those years shaped the way I work today. They gave me perspective, patience, and empathy that no textbook alone could provide. They are also what ultimately led me to pursue formal legal education and a career in mediation—so I could offer others the calm, informed support I once needed myself.
I understand what it feels like to sit at the table feeling uncertain, emotionally taxed, and unsure who to trust. I also know how grounding it is to work with someone who listens without judgment, explains the process clearly, and helps you move forward with intention and dignity.
Divorce and family transitions are deeply personal. My role as a mediator is not to take sides, but to create a structured, respectful space where both voices are heard, and practical solutions can take shape. I’ve been on your side of the process—and that perspective informs every session, every conversation, and every agreement I help create.
